A Stitching Post
I have had the privilege over the past five years of stitching birth samplers for one of my daughter Katie's friend, Malissa. Katie and Malissa have been friends since high school and she is very special to me.

A Stitching Post
So last year I posted a few times about stockings I was stitching for the children of a friend. I had every intention of finishing them for Christmas 2017, but did not make it. As a matter of fact, one of the stockings took me until February to finish. But all's well that ends well and I'm happy to report that the stockings are fully assembled and ready to be delivered. Whew!
This was the first time I stitched this stocking.
I think it is one of the most beautiful ones I've stitched.
I had stitched the Santa stocking twice before and the Snowman stocking once before. As I was stitching these this time around it occurred to me that it's really quite boring to stitch the same pattern more than once. So... I went through my stocking patterns and disposed of all of the ones I've stitched. I have many more patterns that I haven't stitched yet. To tell you the truth, I really felt "free" when I let those patterns go!
So, now I'm tackling this year's stockings. I have three to stitch before Christmas. They are for grandchildren, so I feel a lot of pressure to actually get them done! Guess I'd better get to it...

Pinterest Fail
I am disappointed in Pinterest. When I first joined it, I loved seeing what my friends were pinning. I would check it every day just to stay on top of their pins. I re-pinned lots of what I saw. Occasionally I would search for something in particular, but I primarily used it as a way to see what others were doing.
It's not fun for me any more. I hate the promoted pins that are really ads. I don't like the pins that are suggested for me because of my past activity. It irritates me that pins show up as newly pinned when they were actually pinned months or years ago by my friends.
I'm disappointed... but I'm not giving up! hahaha
