Today I'm featuring new and old projects. I realized I didn't take photos of some of the stockings I made years ago so I asked the kids to send me photos of them. I'm thinking about making a scrapbook for myself of my finished projects.
I stitched this stocking in 2010 with no name
When JD & Janel got a new kitten this year they asked me to make a stocking for her
I remembered this one and stitched her name on it

I made this for Gabe's new nephew Bryce. He is the first boy cousin for Sunny and Thunder. His proud parents are Vince and Chantell. We saw Bryce on Thanksgiving - he is a beautiful baby boy!

This project was stitched for Katie's friend Malissa. She welcomed her first baby daughter on 8/8/12. It is so fun to be able to make items like this for my kids' friends! With every stitch I remember their youth and marvel that they're all grown ups now with children of their own.

I stitched this for my son, Zachary, back in 2003. I didn't like the way it was framed, so I re-framed it today. I figured I better get a photo of it while I could! I usually make things for others and then forget to take a photo of them.

Two Down, Six to Go!
Christmas Stockings
I had high expectations on stitching eight Christmas Stockings in 2011. Waaay too high! So, here are the two that I actually completed. The other six are on my Crazy January Challenge list. I will finish them this year, I will finish them this year, I will...

I made these years ago, but I love putting them out every spring. They look like vacation to me!

I am so excited about this finish. I've been reading several cross-stitching blogs which have inspired me to branch out from framing every project I stitch. This is my first attempt at a different finish. It's a birthday gift for a friend. I am quite proud of it because not only did I stitch it, I painted the box! This may not sound like much to most of you, but believe me, I do not paint.

I love patterns that depict the seasons. This is first set I x-stitched and they remain among my favorites.

I'm also totally into patriotic designs. Although not blatantly patriotic, I love this pattern. This is the first design I attempted that took more than a few weeks to make. This took me 12 weeks. I framed it in a "old barn wood" frame.

I have been wanting to post photos of my x-stitch projects since I started the blog, but I didn't know how to transfer the photos from the camera to the computer until lately. So... here are some of the projects I'm most satisfied with. Some of them were done years ago and hang in my home. Some of them are current gifts for others.
This is a birth sampler for my friend's new grandson.
