It's the Little Things...
It's the little things in life that make me proud! These are cherry tomatoes from the plant we're growing in a container on our back patio. We pick 6-8 tomatoes a day right now and they are de-lic-ious! We're also growing some regular tomatoes, but they're just starting to turn red.
I wish I could tell you what kind they are, but Dan threw away the info before I could read it.
Oh well, I'm sure they'll be just as good as the cherries.

Family Fun
My nephew, Matt and his wife Shelby are expecting their first baby in August. A few weeks ago they held a "Baby-Q" shower. It was such fun and very well attended by family, friends, and co-workers.
Shelby's nursery theme is Dr. Seuss and is so cute!
Most of the family was there so we took the opportunity to snap a family photo.
As you can see, even with five family members missing, we're growing into quite a large group!

"Graduation"
Thunder "graduated" from pre-school last week. He attended the Coop program at a local high school. This is a pre-school staffed by high school students looking to pursue a career in child development. It's a great program and if you have pre-schoolers I highly recommend checking to see if a similar program is available in your area.
Because the pre-school was part of the high school, they followed the H.S. calendar. When the H.S. had Spirit Week, the pre-schoolers had Spirit Week. When the H.S. had assemblies, the pre-schoolers performed at the assemblies. Then the H.S. had prom, the pre-schoolers had prom. Now that the H.S. is graduating, so are the pre-schoolers.
It's a cute little program where the kids sing several songs to show off the skills they've learned at pre-school. Each child announces where they'll be attending Kindergarten next year. And they all hold up a sign stating what they (currently) want to be when they grow up!
Congratulations, Thunder! We're so proud of you and look forward to your school years.

Update on Revae
Many of you are praying for my son's niece on his wife's side as she fights cancer. Your prayers are appreciated! I thought you would enjoy seeing Revae as she approaches her first birthday.
As you can see, her hair is starting to regrow. Doesn't she look awesome for all she's been through? God is so great!
Although Revae is finished with her radiation treatments, she continues to have chemotherapy and will for the first part of the summer. We're definitely praying that her treatment will be able to end due to great scans soon.
For a little girl who was diagnosed with cancer at barely six months of age, who has endured surgery, chemo, radiation, and all that accompanies those treatments, Revae retains her sunny expression.
Please continue to pray for Revae, her parents, grandparents, and all of the extended family as they look forward to a hopeful future.
I hope you've enjoyed these photos of a survivor!

A Stitching Post
Yes, I've been stitching. What I haven't been doing is finishing! I hope to remedy that by the end of this month.
My nephew and his wife are expecting their first baby in August. I wanted to make my SIL a "grandma's gift" for the baby shower and at the last minute decided to stitch something for her. Fortunately, it only took a couple of days to stitch up. And that's while watching a 23-month old and a two-month old!
She loved her basket and this saying:
