H.O.T.

Hot. We can now officially use that term when referring to our weather. In the Phoenix area, "hot" does not enter our vocabulary until the temps are 110 or above. We have definitely reached "hot" this week. We had a high of 112 yesterday and are headed to 115 in the next few days. The good news is that at the end of the 10 day forecast, we drop back down to a warm 107. Ahhh...

This cigar box is going to my oldest son. I had to finagle the top so that the ridge that sticks up all the way around would have a "well" to fit in so the box lid would close.

Grammy Summer Camp

Last week marked the official start of Grammy Summer Camp 2015. I have been planning for this since Spring Break, trying to come up with activities to avoid boredom, and to encourage learning over the summer break. We got off to a fantastic start. Each day, Sunny would exclaim, "I love Grammy Summer Camp!" or "Grammy Summer Camp is awesome!" Very encouraging for me, but I hope she's still saying that in three weeks.

This weekend we celebrated Storm's first birthday and Sunny's sixth birthday with a huge party. Since Sunny officially celebrated her birthday in Legoland, she shared her party with Storm and his guests. A fun time was had by all!

Sunny celebrated her 6th birthday this past weekend. Actually, she celebrated it the last weekend in May with a trip to Legoland, but her birthday was this past Saturday. I can not believe this child is six years old. She is changing before my eyes, looking more mature every day it seems.
