Yesterday Jessica and I enjoyed a Mom/Daughter day together. She had been given free passes to the Rosson House located in Patriot's Square in downtown Phoenix. I have not been there in 25 years. This house was built in 1895 and is a late Queen Anne Victorian style. It is gorgeous and the restoration of it is impressive. We also toured the current exhibit of "Victorian's Secrets", which was a display of undergarments from the late 1800s - early 1900s. They had a "jacket" you could try on that approximated the weight of a woman's outfit from that era. Oh my goodness gracious, it was heavy!
As we awaited our tour, we hear loud drums and chanting. We looked down the block to see the Immigration demonstration that was taking place. That was interesting to observe.
After our tour we headed off to lunch and Hobby Lobby. It was packed! Jess bought some cool stuff and we headed home. What a great day to spend with my girl!
